San Diego can be a great place to grab a cup of joe, as they call it. It is full of coffee places that enthusiasts will surely enjoy. From the standard franchise coffee stores, to artisanal and local ones that will get any coffee lover the jolt and San Diego flavor that they have been looking for.
Venue Report has rounded up the coffee spots in San Diego that are worthy of the attention of any caffeine lover. In that same article they explained why San Diego is one of the best places to discover coffee.
“What makes San Diego stand out is the abundance of small batch roasters, people willing to roll up their sleeves and work on a product for years, then present it with pride in beautifully designed yet welcoming neighborhood shops. From gorgeously modern cafes with charcoal walls, to small, walk-up bars with perfect pour-overs, beachfront coffee trucks and family-run businesses serving rainbow lattes in colors you never dreamed coffee could come in.”

Best Coffee Shops in San Diego
Thrillist also came up with their own list of best coffee places to check out in and around the Dan Diego area. One of those that they mentioned is The Bean Bar over at the East Village.
“Across from the Central Library, this cozy shop has a lot going for it, like owners who are passionate about good coffee, fresh-baked pastries, and quality beans brewed just about every way imaginable, including siphon, V60, Aeropress, and drip. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the industrial-chic space with natural light, which makes it a great place to refuel, get some work done, or just people watch.”

Fitt San Diego also shared their suggested coffee shops to visit when in the area. Dark Horse Coffee Roasters topped their list. City of San Diego
“With four locations in the hippest neighborhoods (Normal Heights, North Park, Golden Hill, and, most recently, La Mesa), DHCR serves your pour-overs with a side of skinny jeans, beanies, and glasses. But these hipsters (and we do mean that in the best way) are passionate about their coffee. A testament to quality, the owners have taken trips to Kenya to explore new flavor profiles to add to their menu!”
